Labor Day has officially passed and most kids are back to school. Many people don't realize this, but we begin seeing children for cleanings right around age 3. Most children do extremely well here. There are rare cases when we will decide to refer to a pediatric dentist if the child is too fearful. It is helpful if you bring your child with you to your cleaning appointments prior to his or her first visit so that they can familiarize themselves with the different sights and sounds. Their first visit at this early age will include a cleaning and an exam by one of the doctors. Feel comfortable to bring your children here - this is a family practice!
